Family and Relationships
Unlike many at risk youth programs, the heart of our clinical program is the work and therapy we do with families. We firmly believe in the importance of strong and healthy family relationships. The core of our programming is based on healing damaged relationships so that we can help restore healthy connections within the family system. In addition to weekly family therapy sessions by skype or phone, we also invite families to visit the campus and participate in face-to-face family therapy sessions. Weekend visits with their sons are highly encouraged at a pace that is therapeutic to the whole family.

Family Seminars
We provide onsite, multi-day Family Seminars which include all families who are currently enrolled in our troubled youth program. These intensive, multi-family experiences are conducted 4 times a year and provide powerful, therapeutic opportunities. Oftentimes families will highlight these events as significant turning points in their lives.
Our families also engage fully in their own Hero’s Journey. Just as every phase of the Hero’s Journey involves student assignments and expectations to be met before they can move onto the next phase, families have their own expectations and assignments. We find when one part of a family system changes, the other parts need to adjust as well to support the growth that has taken place. Family assignments in the Hero’s Journey Phase Curriculum is just one way in which we encourage families to engage in the change process alongside their son.
